Westlake Municipal
Complex Westlake, Texas Located in a meadow on a tree-studded hilltop, the Westlake Muncipal Complex is a forward-thinking mixed-use facility that meets the town’s needs for housing its municipal services and providing the space for a top-quality, international baccalaureate curriculum educational facility. Numerous shared facilities benefit both the academic and municipal portions of the project. The project was designed to LEEDS environmental standards and employs natural daylighting to light the town offices, classrooms and gymnasium. Rainwater is harvested and stored on site for use in irrigation. Natural stone, exposed structural timber and tile roofs seek to marry the building to the natural setting and establish an architectural identity for the town. This 53,000 sf facility sits on 23 acres. |
