Fossil Rim Wildlife Center

The Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, though well known for its drive through safari park and successful animal conservation and breeding programs, was in need of an updated master plan to guide their short and long term capital improvement plans. Gideon Toal was retained to produce a master plan that looked at several key areas of the park. The master plan calls for a new entry area which includes improved entry facilities and retail as well as an orientation center. The halfway point “Overlook” area, which uses the scale of an African hilltop village as its inspiration, is slated for an improved restaurant, new retail shops, outdoor dining and play areas, a new petting zoo.
