    Woodhaven Redevelopment Plan
Fort Worth, Texas

This comprehensive study, analysis and action plan for the Woodhaven Neighborhood combine creative visions from the community with current market information to redevelop the Woodhaven neighborhood into a sustainable and livable community with a balanced mix of uses including new single family homes, new retail uses and office space. The plan considers historic trends and evaluates existing physical, demographic, land use, and economic aspects of the neighborhood. Several development scenarios address apartment concentrations identifying new opportunities and providing implementation strategies for those opportunities while utilizing urban design and economic development strategies to reduce crime, encourage new retail and office development, create a neighborhood identity and reconfigure a balanced mix of residential ownership and land uses. As part of the implementations strategy, the consensus master plan is examined against feasible redevelopment tools and financial data to ensure market feasibility and encourage private and public investment. The project was designed as a development model to be applied in other areas of the city with similar challenges and opportunities.
