Situated on a bluff overlooking the Trinity River and with magnificent views, this stately winter home incorporates elements of historic English manor houses while keeping its execution purely Texas. Local limestone blends with the native plantings and grasses. Though formal in its format, this home allows a casual feel for the owners and visiting children and grandchildren. The plan was organized to allow for one-level living and separation from the activity of visiting family and the everyday activity of the owners. Care was taken on the interior to incorporate an extensive art collection.
